Liverpool is one of the largest school systems in the area. The high school curriculum includes French and Spanish, Advanced Placement and College Credit courses in several subject areas, and many Fine Arts classes. Liverpool High School has been named a National School of Excellence. Students may choose to take Vocational Courses at BOCES, a county-wide facility for vocational and continuing education. Also, co-op programs are available through Syracuse University, Adelphi University, and State University of New York, College at Cortland.
The district offers an early intervention or pre-school program. Liverpool participates in many enrichment activities. Liverpool students recently captured nineteen of the twenty-one top prizes at the Regional Science Fair. Their music program is also locally and regionally acclaimed. Instrumental and vocal groups at all grade levels perform very actively.
Liverpool High School fields several strong athletic teams each year. Recent league championship wins include soccer, indoor track, swimming, and basketball. Liverpool High School has its own swimming pool which is also open to the community on a regular basis.
