Fayetteville-Manlius operates a progressive, forward-thinking school system. Eighty-four percent of the faculty and administration hold advanced degrees. The high school curriculum includes French, Spanish, Latin and German, as well as several Advanced Placement and College Level courses, and many Fine Arts electives. The Technology and Design curriculum includes Aerospace & Aviation Design. High school students have the option of earning credit for community and school services. Syracuse University Project Advanced courses in English, Math, and Social Studies are taught at the high school. Students may choose to take these courses for college credit.
Fayetteville-Manlius High School has an advanced music program. Many of their ensembles have won awards at the state and local level. Other interesting extra-curricular activities include Mock UN, several Foreign Language clubs, Ballroom Dancing, and International Organization. The Mock Trial team and Mathematics Club participate in league competitions. In addition, F-M fields several varsity sports teams each year.
